Homeschooling Critical Thinking
Critical thinking is the skill that sits underneath everything else your child will learn. It’s how they decide what to believe, how they solve problems when the answer isn’t in the textbook, and how they stay grounded in a world full of notifications, AI outputs, and half-true headlines. Research links strong critical thinking skills with better academic achievement across subjects and greater self-directed learning. At the same time, studies show that children and teens are increasingly exposed to misinformation online, and that many struggle to evaluate what they see on social media or in the news.
